Taking a different approach to the show floor over a simple booth space, NSCA has teamed up with The Digital Signage Group to make the Digital Signage Pavilion an educational, hands-on digital signage experience unlike any other. With six applications on display that represent different vertical markets, this pavilion showcases digital signage in its natural environments. Plus, as though a restaurant, movie theater, and university weren’t enough, there’s even a full-blown waterfall (to show that an enclosure is waterproof, of course).

The pavilion was developed with smaller projects in mind, as those are the types of applications that most attendees should currently be on the lookout for in their businesses. “The thing that most people think when they hear digital signage is a big retail rollout,” explains Nancy Gregson, Digital Signage Pavilion guru and NSCA consultant. “You can go after those big fish, and there are certainly some companies who can and will do so successfully, but for the majority of people at this show, these are the types of jobs they’re going to get.”

The applications present examples of the opportunities that are available in the digital signage market. “My goal was to show true-to-life applications that NSCA exhibitors and attendees alike would be able to go get,” Gregson continues. “There’s still a lot of business out there, and we’ve got these applications so that you will walk up to a display and you will think, ‘Wow, I never though about using it in that way.’”

Once attendees generate ideas about potential projects from these displays, the pavilion offers the education they’ll need to put those ideas into action. Courses offered throughout Expo will show you where to find the displays, how to get the network together, and how to meet the key people involved. Furthermore, two “infostations” will be open for anyone to ask questions of some of the leading authorities in digital signage.

Additionally, some of the latest products for digital signage will be on display throughout the exhibit, including mounting solutions provided by Chief, and the new screens from 3M.
