FBT (Booth 213) marks its entry into the world of line array systems with the new FBT MODUS systems. The MODUS family consists of two Line array enclosures, the MODUS 15 (15-degree vertical coverage) and the MODUS 40 (40-degree vertical coverage) and a band pass subwoofer, the MODUS SUB. The concept behind the MODUS 15 and MODUS 40 systems is the grouping of 8 x 8-inch custom designed B&C woofers and 8 x1.7-inch custom designed B&C HF drivers, all loaded into single enclosures. This design concept omits disruptions in the upper-mid frequencies, allowing for improved evenness and coherence of the wavefront through the waveguide, perfectly modeling a cylindrical wave that's totally free of multiple paths. The Modus 15 and 40 can be operated in full range or bi amp modes with short term power (IEC 268-5) capabilities of 4000w LF and 800w HF when used in the biamp mode with 138 dB max. SPL. The MODUS Sub with 2x15-inch LF woofers offers frequency response to 38Hz., 141dB max. SPL and short term power handling of 3200w @ 4 ohms.

All MODUS cabinets feature 18mm Baltic birch plywood construction covered in Tourgrade black paint finish. Four different MODUS system flying configurations and Four different ground stacking configurations are possible through the use of optional hardware and optional casters and trolleys are also available for easy transporting. As is the case with all FBT products, the FBT Modus system is entirely manufactured in Italy.
