MCM Electronics (Booth 312) is adding the Keystone Mount Category 5 A/V Balun System to its MCM Custom Audio line.

Now users can take advantage of Cat5, and higher, cable for interconnecting A/V components over long distances. Common signal formats such as composite video, RGB component video, line level and digital audio can easily be sent over UTP cable distances up to 400'. In retrofit applications you can utilize existing unused pairs of Cat5 data cable already in place. In new construction, take advantage of the smaller size and lower cost of Cat5 cable when distributing signals throughout the structure.

The compact individual Baluns are compatible with standard Keystone wall plates. The rear of the balun features a specially designed tool-less IDC connector for easy connection of unterminated Cat5 cable and the front features a female RCA connector. Keystone wall plates can be custom configured with exactly the connections that are needed for each independent application.
